The approach I would use is think alouds and pair it with a graphic organizer. I would adapt it by providing different levels of support based on the student's language proficiency. As the student progress and their confidence continues to grow, I will slowly reduce my assistance. Having visual aids will also help and work well with other subjects like language arts , and social studies.
