Mod 8 Video Discussion

Writing to learn focuses on the content rather than the communication. It is usually informal and gives a teacher a clear picture of what students comprehend of the subject matter so they can reteach their students who need it. Writing to learn promotes deep learning and critical thinking. I could use writing to learn in my classroom. I feel like this is a way for ELL students to get comfortable with what they are learning without being corrected.
