Scenario 2

Having an inclusive learning environment, I would have to research the student divergent cultural beliefs to ensure that he/she feels welcomed in the classroom. I would work diligently to partner with the parents to ensure we are on the same page and sending consistent messages to the student. I would try my best to affirm their culture while letting them know the expectations in this setting. Respecting their culture while introducing my expectations will create inclusion and establish a relationship between the teacher and student.

Hello Tara,
I think that when we let our students know we embrace their culture in the classroom, this is setting boundaries of respect, and I agree all students should have expectations set with parents being involved.
