Accommodating growth in the classroom from listening and speaking.

Whole class- this approach helps the teacher assess comprehension in all students and clarify understanding within the students. Students engage in the lesson collectively following along. Teacher can identify common areas of difficulty within the group. Also the ability to walk around and spot check the students and assess if they comprehended.

Buddies- This approach works well with placing my struggling and ELL learners together. Gives teacher a chance to scaffold the learning in that group while continuing to have the high learners go ahead.

Small group- Approach works because teacher can Intergrade struggling and ELL students with higher learners and build on an approach of advancement and add rigors when and as needed.  Also it is an approach for the students to build relationships and engage.

Individual and one-to one after school- is a great method for those struggling and ELL students that need that extra time. Also a chance to get to understand there learning habits and apply accommodations where needed.
