Scenario Response 9
Scenario 9
Whole Class: ask questions that will focus on their critical thinking. Using these skills will allow for students to practice analyzing the text for information, find details to support that information, and draw conclusions.
Buddies: pairing a field-dependent student with a field-independent student can allow for the field-independent student to model certain skills that the field-dependent student may lack like listening, speaking, and reading skills.
Small groups: teachers can walk around and facilitate these groups and scaffold where and when needed. This allows for students to have discussions about what they read, analyze, and come to a conclusion together.
One on One: teachers can provide targeted instruction and support based on a student’s specific needs. If a student is struggling on Character Perspectives, teach explicitly on that skill.
