Mod 6 Discussion: Language Acquisition in a Cultural Context

Story telling and games are strategies I incorporate in my classes.

By reading stories from diverse cultures, students can develop their vocabulary and improve their comprehension skills. They can retell the story using their own words. 

Language games can be incorporated in any other subject lesson such as math, science matching the terms with their definitions, and improve their vocabulary.
