Last year I used Semantic feature analysis, learning logs, and graphic organizers a great deal in the classroom for tiering and scaffolding. I really did enjoy the use of the graphic organizers and semantic feature analysis, I felt that the students didn't get as much as I would have liked out of the learning logs. Instead I will continue to use the other two features and pair them with the use of a word wall and other learning tools to make the lessons more interactive.  I also will monitor the students using reading inventories and observation logs.  The curriculum I will be using is StudySync and IReady which I feel pair well together and with common core.
