Mod 8 Video Discussion

Watching Caitlin LeClair's approach to teaching social studies to seventh-grade students in Portland, Maine, resonates with my work as a high school journalism teacher. Not only are my students close in age to hers, but like her, I aim to engage my diverse group of international students by selecting interesting. Moving forward, I would like  to incorporate similar strategies, such as choosing relevant news articles and providing scaffolding support to help students navigate complex material. This approach aligns with my goal of fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment where all of my students can thrive.
