Mod 8 Discussion: Tiering and Scaffolding in My Classroom

While giving instruction to my history scholars, I scaffold instruction by previewing vocabulary words with pictures to help students make a connection to help with comprehension. During the students “do now” time I use the vocabulary words in a sentence to help determine the meaning of the words before the definition is presented. I also like to implement students using think alouds, turn and talks, and think pair shares frequently throughout the lessons.
