- What new technologies, e.g. videos, online practice sites, etc., have the appropriate content to support the learning objectives? - Proposed Changes
- Ask whether the non-textbook materials provide ELL components.
-Consult with teachers and ELL specialists.
-Ensure materials represent different cultures and backgrounds.
-Seek materials with multiple language support.
-Provide accommodations for ELLs at different proficiency levels. - Quill.org as a non-textbook material source
-Have ELL take the ESOL specific diagnostic tests.
-Assign recommended ESOL practice assignments.
-Once the ELLs have passed all the ESOL content to proficiency, have them take the regular diagnostic tests designed for native English speakers.

- Does it contain culturally relevant content?
- What kind of content support - skill lessons, practice questions, etc. does it provide?
- Can it be scaffolded for readability?
- Does it contain graphic aids? If so, are they of good quality?
- Does it contain visual aids? If so, are they of good quality and do they enhance understanding of the content?
- What is the vocabulary content? Will it need to be heavily modified?
- Is there bias?
