Criteria- research based instruction

  1. Comprehensive Core Reading Program- phonemic awareness, phonics and word study, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension (IRIS Center)
  2. FCRR- Florida Center for Reading Research- this site has student center activities for elementary teaching of reading
  3. National Writing Project- writing is essential to learning, critical thinking, and active citizenship- this is a national program with trainings all over the place. It’s about the writing process, but also about individual growth in writing and the connections of life.

  7. Teaching Channel- a paid site with access to videos, blogs, and articles regarding strategies used for a variety of learning experiences, including reading
