Criteria- research based instruction

1. Comprehensive Core Reading Program- phonemic awareness, phonics and word study, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension (IRIS Center)
2. FCRR- Florida Center for Reading Research- this site has student center activities for elementary teaching of reading
3. National Writing Project- writing is essential to learning, critical thinking, and active citizenship- this is a national program with trainings all over the place. It’s about the writing process, but also about individual growth in writing and the connections of life.

5. National Center on Intensive Intervention (American Institutes for Research)- provides a series of lessons that help working with students who struggle with reading https://intensiveintervention.org/implementation-intervention/literacy-lessons
6. Reading Rockets- website with resources for teaching reading
7. Teaching Channel- a paid site with access to videos, blogs, and articles regarding strategies used for a variety of learning experiences, including reading
