To begin with I would try to get the student(s) to share with us about their culture regardless of how. This could be done in project form so that they would not have to share aloud. We would then brainstorm ways to include all cultural beliefs in the classroom setting so that everyone felt welcome. This could also be a way of setting boundaries and explaining that if the student did not participate in certain things it was not against them but it would be against what their cultural beliefs are if they were to participate. Education is the key to everything so educating ourselves would be of the utmost importance. In an administrative role I would want to show the teachers different videos of how other teachers had handled the situations using both positives and negatives, brainstorm and then plan with them. I would also tell them to please communicate with me regularly if there were any questions or concerns.
