When the new student came into my room I would welcome him with open arms and be very warm and acceptance. I would try to read his body language but make sure mine is of love and safety not for just the student but to allow the other students to know that this is another member of our family that we are to accept and support and take into our safe environment. An environment where it's safe to learn and try out new skills and safe to make mistakes.

I would research the culture he came from and make sure that I educated the class and the student when difference would arise either daily or on holidays or special occasions. I would pair up the studen with ones who gravitate to him and that he accepts. I would allow him to be a silent participant for as long as needed.

As an admin. I would make sure to support my teacher in knowlegde, research and with support personal.
