After reading this section I feel that the main piece that has changed is that the teaching use to be teacher directed with students sitting and learning. Todays models are more interactive, today teachers facilitate learning and sometimes the students are the experts teaching the class. Today learning is more project based and students learn by using manipulatives and building upon their own previous knowledge. They can to participate in their learning through readers theater and putting on plays!

I agree that the biggest thing that has changed is the difference of being teacher directed to being more student centered.
