Mod 15 Video Discussion

The video’s in this module display very structured means of going in-depth with book studies. I personally love that the Bronx school teacher tied in a real human rights document to the book reading. Connecting student work to realia allows students to see the importance of understanding the topic or subjects of what they are learning because it has actual application to the world we live in.

I always make efforts to give students a bridge from books, be they fiction or non-fiction, to their lives and beyond. It has been an important part of any topic I’ve worked with.
