Mod 15 Video Discussion
Module 15 video discussion
I liked how the teacher in the second video connected the reading to the lesson’s topic. Reinforcing the idea helps students retain information more effectively when they can relate classroom concepts to real‑life situations. In my own teaching, I use a similar approach by having students read case studies and link the scenarios to the content being taught. I also incorporate small group discussions in which students analyze the case study and respond to guide questions such as, “Do you agree with what happened? Why or why not?” or “If you were in this person’s position, what would you do?”. Conversations during small group discussions help students develop social interaction skills, strengthen their listening abilities, and practice expressing and supporting their opinions, and respect differing viewpoints.
