One scaffolding technique that I will implement is think-pair-share. However, I will modify this technique by providing the English Language Learners with sentence stems, images, and vocabulary prior to the sharing stage. Additionally, those who need extra help can start by writing down their ideas on paper first before participating in the discussion.

The think-pair-share strategy will be combined with graphic organizers, short reading selections, and vocabulary cards in order to give the learners more guidance during the organization process.

This scaffolding technique will be implemented most frequently during reading comprehension and social studies classes since the students require opportunities to process the information they learned and engage in discussions using appropriate academic language. The students will be slowly weaned off this technique as they gain more confidence.
