Identifying learning gaps in the Data Action Plan is an area that caught my attention. It is one of the critical parts of the plan since it ensures that the teachers concentrate on the skills where the learners lack instead of making decisions based on their test scores alone.

During the action research cycle, the formative assessments, student performance, and class discussion will be used in searching for patterns of misunderstanding. When the learners have difficulties in reading comprehension, the next step will be to determine if it is due to vocabulary, evidence, or theme identification.

Progress monitoring plays a crucial role in the research since it allows the teacher to make necessary changes in the teaching strategy in case of improvement or persistent challenges. In place of waiting until the end of the lesson, exit tickets, short answers, and interviews can be used.

Using this action data plan it did have me to focus on the critical parts and really breakdown and concentrate on the skills that they lacked and focus on the interventions needed to fill that gap.
