With such a diverse class, a teacher would need a multifaceted approach.

First, the class would need to utilize the full, leveled library.  As the teacher, I would model fluency and use repeated reading.  I would also provide differentiated instruction for the many groups within the class.  I would incorporate individual instruction as well as small group.  I would also encourage home support.

I like your emphasis on using a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of a diverse classroom. Modeling fluency, repeated reading, and differentiated instruction are all effective ways to support students at different learning levels. I also appreciate that you included home support, as involving families can reinforce learning and help students build confidence outside of the classroom. Your approach reflects the importance of providing multiple opportunities for student success.
