Mod 15 Video Discussion

I enjoyed the second video more. I enjoyed the approach to teaching where they were able to discuss what they read and then broke off into groups and focused on one character. One thing I learned was the importance of setting guidelines for learning and how to keep students on task. In my class I give the students partner work and walk around the classroom as they work but recently I have been giving them small things to read and giving them a time limit, say 5 minutes, and then reviewing what they read. The partner work also has been beneficial for some of the less confident students because they feel more comfortable working with someone as opposed to working independently.
