Mod 8 Video Discussion

I absolutely loved the Scaffolding Literacy for ELLs grades 6-12 video.  I find that it resonates with my style of teaching and techniques and strategies I try to incorporate and implement myself in my classroom.  I want to implement the "Things Close Readers Do" strategy and anchor chart that the teacher in the video does a long with the things on the list that close readers do.  Those steps on the anchor chart she has are research proven and evidence based strategies and tasks students can do to help increase their learning and student outcomes.  I would need to base the strategy on my students age and developmental ability to complete the tasks and use the strategies, but I feel that it's something that easily modified to fit their levels of ability.
