This video was very inspiring to me to see. I believe that diversity in school settings is beyond important for ALL students and teachers. Not any two people are the same and it is a beautiful thing to be able to celebrate and learn about each others differences and what makes them special. In a program like a dual-language classroom setting you are opening the door to both the ESOL students as well as the native English speakers. The ESOL students are able to use practical application for all of what they are learning in English, and at the same time still allowing their native language and culture to be celebrated and recognized. The native English speakers are opened to a world of culture and diversity that they may have never known or heard about. This invites them to the beginning of celebrating others for their diversity and engages them with the ESOL students making them feel more welcomed.

Moving forward, I would love to bring this into my classroom, even if ESOL students are not present. Having a culture project or day where students have to research and share where they came from and what sort of traditions that their families may have. It helps to bond the students and let them learn more about the world from each other.
