I completely agree with you! However, I think it would be even more beneficial and favorable to have a bilingual class where they slowly learn English and are taught in their native language. I was fortunate enough to teach at a bilingual school for the first 3 years of my teaching career and two of the teachers in my grade level were the bilingual classroom teachers. Their students were so impressive and learned so much! I wish every school was like that!
