When considering cooperative learning strategies with students have have consistently been in the same group all year, I would transition to positive interdependence team work where students are still encouraged to work together but are held accountable for their individual work. I would use positive reinforcement, like offering a reward or treats for completing individual assignments to boost morale when being challenged.
