The video showcases Chicago's dual-language program that establishes cross-cultural connections by utilizing collaborative teaching methods. Teachers work together to plan joint lessons and swap classrooms which allows them to combine different subjects for example teaching Mandarin during a zoo visit which enhances lesson relevance. The active learning approach combines movement with interaction to increase student engagement and improve knowledge retention. Students gain exposure to different cultural experiences through the program which builds their interest and acceptance of diverse backgrounds.

My future work will feature increased collaborative approaches as well as hands-on active learning through game-based activities and practical real-world examples. My goal includes expanding cross-cultural activities such as guest lectures, cultural narratives or virtual cultural exchanges to help students connect with different backgrounds.
