Mod 8 Video Discussion

In my civics class I color code a lot of things like they do in the videos, but it doesn't always help because its heavy on reading and writing. I know drilling isn't great for ELL's but with vocabulary, it is quite beneficial for all students. Even my ELLs recognize words over time because I try to put emphasis on the words and repeat them as often as possible during a lesson. One thing that help my ELLs (who are mostly Hispanic and Latino) is to bring up current events. We talk often about what is happening in our government and how these things tie into what we've learned.
