Whole class: Take notes as we read and go over the text as a whole group. Everyone is involved in note taking and answering questions. 

Buddies: I like to have students pair and share their ideas and questions.  

Small Group: I use small groups for peers to work together on a common task, analyzing a text for evidence, etc.  

Individual: After I Do and We Do, I give students an opportunity to work on the tasks independently as practice.
