In this situation I would most likely respond with a class theatre activity. This is the most engaging activity that will have students interested in participating. My approach would be making the lower level students the readers and the higher level students the actors. There may be 1 or 2 high level readers so that there is fluency, however, this activity would be used as a confidence tool. Making engagement fun for both sides. Since I have a library of books of both fiction and non fiction I would use fiction books. This is in hopes that the students are given content that sparks there ability to think and interpret what they read.
