Mod 5 Video Discussion

Being a science teacher most of my criterion-instruction is based on checks for understanding which may be a brief 3-5 multiple choice assessment to see if students are grasping the content that is being taught.

However interim assessments are administered at my school in a summative testing environment to mimic how testing will be for the state. The interim testing is administered once in each of the first three quarters to check students proficiency progress throughout the year. Data is collected to see which standards may need to be revisited.
