Mod 5 Discussion: Formal and Informal Assessments

Although there are a lot of ways to formatively asses students, the technique that I often use is sentenced stemming. This helps the students perform cognitively with filling in missing information to was already provided for them. This helps me assess the students ability to think for themselves.

A new technique That I would like to use to formatively assess students is concept mapping. Concept mapping is a great way to gauge a students understanding of content or a certain concept that has been introduced in class.
