I would like to work on social integration first because that plays an important role in communication and language acquisition. ELL often feel fear of using a second language due to a lack of socialization with English speakers. They show fear because often think will be judged. I often tell my ELL students that as soon they try to socialize with English-speaking peers, they will find lots of support and second language growth.
