• This resource has numerous activities that engage learners with self-promotion. This kind of engagement excites learners and, metaphorically, follows them home.

Communicating High Expectations:

• The resource provides a "ground rules" section where the classroom set expectations of one another. This places the power and responsibility not just on the teacher, but also the learner.

Learning within the context of culture:

• The content within the website has a multitude of introspective learning opportunities. This form of learning promotes cultural awareness and a learners ability to share.

Student-Centered Instruction:

• "Facilitating the Difficult Dialogue" was an activity that stood out for this section. This puts the power of more complex discussions in the hands of the learner. With teacher facilitation the learners respectfully discuss and debate "hard-to" topics.

Culturally Mediated Instruction:

• The activities available are heavily culturally involved and align with the simplest teacher mediation.

Reshaping the Curriculum:

• Many of these activities could easily replace many aspects of traditional classroom teaching. The instruction is similar but the platform is more hands on for the learners.

Teacher as Facilitator:

• As previously stated, the learners are teaching each other more with the teacher just being a mitigator and guiding factor to the point of the lesson.
