Simplified language can be utilized in all content areas.  Especially for ELL students who do not speak a lot of English.  They can still learn the material, just in an easier way.  I would use this strategy in one-on-one instruction to help the student understand what is being taught and allow them to gain the knowledge at an easier understood level.
