At this point in the year, I agree that it is time to change up the groups. Students should be working in informal heterogeneous groups, with students of mixed abilities. This allows for accountability and assignment of tasks. For example, if a student may not enjoy writing as much as drawing, then they could be responsible for the design portion of the project. Along with this, changing the heterogeneous groups for each project would allow for students to better understand how to work with different students, and with students they don't always agree with.
