Scenario Response No. 7

I would like to shake things up with the students by putting them in smaller informal groups to help them acclimate more socially.  I can use pair-share, and turn and talk groups so these are short, but allows them to work with more than the students with which they have become accustomed.  I would also use the principle of putting them in heterogenous groups.  Pairing them with students of different levels and ethnicities also gets them out of their comfort zone and requires them to widen their communication and social skills, which will then hopefully help improve their academic performance.
