Mod 9 Discussion: Oral Language Support in My Classroom

A key principle I should focus on in my classroom is getting all students to participate with the lesson and with each other. One way to do that is partner reading and partner response. That way all the students are expected to contribute. I can pick their partners to ensure similar levels or even let them pick as a way of engagement. This will encourage them to all put work in. A way to adapt them or take it further is clock buddies, where each student has partners for the different times (so they should have 12 partners). I will call a time and they will meet with that partner so that its not the same person every day.
