Mod 8 Video Discussion

The video titled "Writing to Learn" video was insightful because it reminded me to focus on content and comprehension instead of how they communicate that idea. In second grade, students misspell words and many not write grammatically correct but the goal is for them to be able to tell me what they learned about the text. This reminded me on previous units that discussed communication among the ELL population. If an ELL student says " I bathroom," even though that is not the correct way to ask to use the bathroom, the student stated what they wanted to do and it can still be understood by a teacher.
