Module 15 Discussion: Engaging Families

Some possible and effective ways to engage families would be to send home newsletters every week. The newsletter could include important dates coming up, skills being taught in the classroom, and any other important information parents may need to know. 

Personally, I don't assign homework unless the student doesn't finish an important assignment during class time. If a parent asks for resources to help with a subject, I will send home that information so they can work on it together.
