Mod 9 Discussion: Oral Language Support in My Classroom

The Key Principles stated in the text are as followed: "Provide a focus question, Pre-teach the vocabulary and frame the question so that all students understand it and can respond to it. I want my students to have a clear understanding of the content they are discussing. I want to promote a gradual release method where I give the background information necessary and break it down for each individual student's needs However, working in groups on assignments can also promote discussion.  Groups allow for a combination of social and academic language to occur simultaneously.
