Module 14 Discussion: What Has Changed?

Teaching is constantly evoving. It has to! It changes with the times. In the past it was much more teacher centered, focusing on explicit teaching and formal assessment. It then progressed into student centered where it was primarily student run with the teacher as a facilitator. Finally we are at a stage of explicit and systematic instruction where it is like a happy medium of the two theories of the past.
