The jigsaw strategy would provide a speaking/listening opportunity that also has opportunity for support as well as accountability.  Students would have to ‘research’ the topic to become the experts before sharing their information.  I would prepare supports such as pre-teaching vocabulary, identifying sentence stems, and guidelines for brainstorming with the partners. 

This can also be combined with practicing writing skills by using graphic organizers for information gathered during the jigsaw activity that will help students compose a submission.  The partner groups can also give immediate feedback for students to make improvements to their drafts.
