I like the idea of encouraging students to take on the role of the teacher, and I think I would organize a TPR activity similar to Charades. I would begin with an example, miming out an action, and the first student to correctly guess the sentence would then become the teacher. I am a big fan of TPR, and I have incorporated in numerous ways in my classroom, such as a “Four Corners”-inspired game, where I post a sheet of paper in each of the four corners, and when I call out a clue, the students have to run and stand under the correct word.
