In order to promote sensitivity, cooperative work, jig-sawing, and language advancement I would implement mixed ability groups that would allow native English speakers to mentor ELLs or struggling students, cooperative learning teams that would be consistent across curriculum, periodic jigsaw grouping to allow inter-team collaboration, and peer mentoring pairs to allow for more personalized assistance.
