Module 19 Video/Resource Response

I enjoyed Pat Mora's interview very much. As an English Teacher, I used to work hard to choose varying types of materials that would attract varying groups. I agree that students perk up so much when they read something that feels relatable to them. It is important for teachers to consider the different cultural interests for students when selecting materials. Although we sometimes have little wiggle room, there is always a way to find diverse materials with some effort. As an upcoming school librarian, I hope that I'm able to create an environment where teachers can come to me to find materials that fit their class best.
