1. The first student will most likely need more cultural support. The second student may benefit from a more social focus on language acquisition.

2. I would complete a home language survey for both as well as a cultural survey/ interview. I would incorporate their learning styles and cultural needs into the lessons as often as possible.

3. Linguistic challenges I expect to prepare for would be appropriate social interactions (even if in the silent stage of language acquisition), adjusting to new routines, and learning how literacy is used in US schools.
