Much has changed about high quality language instruction since 1995. In 1995, technology was no where near were it is today. Technology enables us to innovate our teaching and learning as well. For example, we can support oral language by having students read aloud to certain computer programs which then highlight the words they struggle with, or we can have them listen to the words. This allows us to incorporate and reinforce things in our routines.
