Scenario Response 2

I would first do my own research to gain some background knowledge, then I would try to build a relationship with the new family by engaging in conversation and asking questions about their culture and home country and decide how I could integrate that into my classroom. 

I do a name project every year where the students research the meaning and origin of their names as well as facts like who chose their name/why it was chosen/ if they were named after anyone etc. I have found this is an awesome way for students to connect with their culture and present things about it through their P.P about their name.,
