School wide training should emphasize the importance of direct vocabulary instruction as well as ways to incorporate visual vocabulary stimulus such as word walls, key word banks on assignments, word of the day, as well as technological methods like Quizlet Live and Kahoot. Diverse repetitive vocabulary instruction engages the different cognitive learning techniques to better ensure engagement and retention.

I would have the world language teachers help me design some activities in a non-English language with the goal of having the English speakers retain key vocabulary words in a language they don't know like Spanish and have the attendees of the training go through each of the activities/techniques and see how much they retain at the end of the training.
