Scenario Response 5

For the TPR script:
I will have cards with the following phrases written down.  As I say the phrase to the students, I will also display the card to them.

I would say “Stand Up” and have the whole class stand up.
I would say “Sit Down” and have the whole class sit down.
I would pick one student, say “Stand Up” and have that student stand up.
I would say “Walk to the Door with me”, and I would lead and have the student follow me.
I would say “Open the Door”, emulate opening the door, and then have the student do it.
I would say “Close the Door”, and have the student close the door.
I would say “Go sit down”, and have them walk to their seat and sit down.
I would repeat this process with other individual students, peaking their interest because each student would want to be called.

Hi Cecil,
I love that you use this approach, as it not only is a teaching tool, but as you said, each student wants to be the student that you call out, and it doesn't have to be the same commands that the other student had to follow!
