I would make sure that I have at least a surface understanding of the students culture in order to make sure that I'm not causing any miscommunications.  I would also make sure to add the students' native language within the classroom with labels for things throughout the room, next to the same labels in English.  

I would make sure to scaffold challenging activities for these students to make sure that they are able to be successful.
